ARS® for Needle Decompression – 3.25" Tension Pneumothorax Needle
The ARS® (Air Release System) for Needle Decompression is a combat-proven, pre-hospital medical device designed to treat tension pneumothorax, one of the leading preventable causes of death on the battlefield and in pre-hospital trauma care. Developed in accordance with Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) guidelines, this 3.25-inch needle and catheter unit is engineered to safely and effectively relieve pressure from a collapsed lung by allowing trapped air to escape the pleural space.
Manufactured by North American Rescue, the ARS® features a sharp, hollow 14-gauge needle and a catheter optimized for penetration depth based on updated clinical evidence. It comes protected in a rugged, sterile, easy-open packaging for rapid deployment in high-stress environments.
